I am a Lecturer and Coordinator for German at the School of International Letters and Cultures at Arizona State University. I received my PhD in History from the University of Würzburg, Germany. My main research focus are migration, business and networks. I taught at a variety of Universities in the US, Israel and Germany. At the beginning of my career I worked as Public Relations Office for a Member of Parliament in Berlin, Germany. In our German section at ASU we believe in preparing our students for their future and we promote project based learning. We successfully partnered with German businesses in the past.

Work with German!
GER 319
Students will work on projects for the participating companies, similar to an internship. In order to be placed with a particular company students will apply (write a German style job application, conduct job interviews) and undergo a “trainee program” to learn office and customer communication. In the second half of the semester, students will work in small groups on projects for the companies. At the end of the semester the projects will be presented in written and oral format. The common goal of the projects is to develop or realize goals for the respective companies. This could be a marketing campaign, internal communication, product placement or anything else related to the company's needs.
