Heidi provided the group of students with lots of great resources prior to the project commencing. I look forward to working with Heidi and her team again in the future.

Heidi and her team were great to work with - our students gained a deeper understanding themselves regarding harm reduction which will directly impact their care for persons within their communities.

I found this project very beneficial as a nursing student, it has given me the opportunity to improve my understanding of drug use and people who use drugs, as well as how to best assist people who use drugs.

This Riipen project provided an opportunity for me as a nursing student to gain knowledge and experience within community health nursing, specifically, in the area of harm reduction strategies for persons who use drugs (PWUD). I feel it has greatly enhanced my understanding of the issues these individuals face, and now I am able to apply this information to my professional nursing practice. This project highlighted the importance of client advocacy and social justice for marginalized communities.
