Mapping Black Renters in the Greater Toronto Area: Addressing Urban Inequities through Gamification

The goal of this project is to shed light on housing disparities faced by black renters in the GTA and explore the intersectionality of race with various socio-economic variables. The project aims to provide researchers, academics, policymakers, journalists, and students with a central repository of data that explores the intersectionality of race, class, income, employment, education, immigrant or citizen status, and various urban indicators such as access to transit, public/green space, amenities, schools, daycares, health facilities, community centers, crime rates, and housing characteristics such as landlord type and housing type.

The main objective of the IIBD Inclusive Language Toolkit for Canada is to catalyze transformative change by promoting language practices that are deeply rooted in the principles of equity, inclusivity, and social justice. Developing a set of tools and resources to help individuals, organizations, and institutions use language in an inclusive manner. Website UI / UX Design & Prototype

Our company would like to explore re-designing our current website with a prototype. We are always on the lookout for innovative and fresh UI and UX ideas that will help our users. This will involve: Conducting background research on our existing web application for the product. We are happy to provide a walkthrough and other resources to help bring them up to speed. Identifying key areas of our current website and what areas of focused might return the best results in a redesign. Learning and using various software design tools. We strongly recommend students learn how to use Figma as this is the latest and greatest tool currently available. Creation of a screen by screen UX / UI prototype of a web application which can be used on all major browsers and be mobile friendly Conducting UX / UI testing with real potential users potentially involving paper prototypes or other software tools to support this
